Security Unit Leader
The Security Unit Leader is responsible for the Security of the building and personnel for the duration that the RSS Warehouse is operational. This person will most likely be a uniformed officer from any of the following entities:
- City Police Department
- County Sheriff’s Department
- State Law Enforcement Agency
This person will need to coordinate with the host Warehouse Security Contact to:
- Make sure the facility is secure
- Identify normal delivery vehicles and provide clearance to the facility (so as to not disrupt the host facilities normal workflow)
- Identify County-provided delivery vehicles and provide clearance to the facility
- Identify any additional security needs the site may have
Since this person needs to integrate seamlessly with local law enforcement, County Emergency Operations Centers, Departmental Operations Centers, and the Warehouse Staff, the position will always be staffed by a County-appointed person.
