Delivery of Materials
In the Staging Area, the Loading Dock Unit Leader will:
- Verify the order with the Pick List
- Monitor the loading of delivery vehicles
- Assure that all drivers have the correct paperwork for their delivery
- Have driver sign, confirming that the material was loaded and released to them
Once a delivery driver has arrived to pick up an order, the Loading Dock Unit Leader will see to it that the loader moves the materials from the Staging Area to the vehicle.
The driver will need to sign the Pick List to verify that they have picked up the order. The Pick List is then returned to the Order Management Unit Leader for entry into the Inventory Management System.
The Loading Dock Unit Leader will also verify that the delivery driver has the correct information for completing the delivery. This may include:
- Pack Lists
- Order Paperwork
- Delivery Route Maps
Depending on the number of Counties using this facility as their RSS, the driver may see different kinds of maps and may be directed to return delivery confirmation paperwork to different places. The Loading Dock Unit Leader will be able to verify all instructions to the driver.
